Family Farm Fun!

We are very proud to be a century farm - actually reaching our 140th year of operation in 2010!  What a milestone!  We know that our ancestors would be proud of the heritage that they began.  And we look forward to many years of sharing our family farm with our family & many friends & visitors!

Here's how it all began & how we came to be raising the 6th generation of Shantz's on this property...

February 14, 1870  -  Kevin's Great-Great Grandfather, Joshua Shantz, purchased our farm from the original owner.

February 19, 1874  -  Kevin's Great Grandfather, Amos Shantz, purchased farm from his father.

March 31, 1919  -  Kevin's Grandfather, Samuel Shantz, purchased farm from his father.

April 5, 1948  -  Kevin's Uncle, Melvin Shantz, purchased farm from his father.

September 1, 2005  -  After running the farm operation for almost 20 years, Kevin & Angela purchased farm from         Dorothy Shantz (widow of Uncle Mel, who passed away March 25, 2005)
